Module 2 · In transit

Five carriers. One record. And someone who responds.

Each carrier speaks differently. Nymil translates raw scans into nine clear states, identifies obstacles, writes customers and depots, and measures how long things take – per carrier and country.

What Nymil does

Step by step

Normalization

Raw scans become states

DPD code 14, GLS "STORED", UPS "Exception" – Nymil reduces everything to nine states: label created, in transit, in depot, in delivery, delivery attempt failed, in parcel shop, delivered, return, problem. Plus reason: not found, address, refused, damaged.

  • DPD via API, SFTP raw scans and fallback
  • GLS, UPS, Hermes via API; DHL expanding to business customer interface
  • Sendcloud labels via webhook
Obstacle

The moment when others just send an email

Failed attempt: customer gets parcel shop with opening times, photo and route. In parcel shop: reminder day 3 and last day. Stuck in depot: Nymil asks depot. Address not found: customer is asked, answer goes to depot. Only after three attempts does it go back.

  • Eleven languages, in your shop's name, via your SMTP
  • Each automation individually switchable, with approval mode
  • Drop-off location and neighbor note, if the carrier delivered that way
Lost

Thresholds per carrier, not by gut feeling

No scan for x days means something different for GLS than for DHL. Nymil sets the threshold per carrier and route and shows you it. If it's breached, the search request starts – before the deadline passes.

  • DHL search starts day 6 of no movement
  • Loss presumed after 20 days domestic, 30 days cross-border (§ 424 HGB) documented
  • Handover to claims module automatic
Benchmark

Figures you can present to the carrier

Delivery time from first scan to delivery, handover time from label to first scan, open and lost shipments, delivery rate, exception rate. Per carrier, per country, per month.

  • Median and 90th percentile instead of average
  • Export as table for your next price negotiation

And after

What happens after the case

Customer is informed

Every recipient gets a login-free link with the protocol in their language. Fewer "Where is my parcel?" emails to you.

Case becomes claim

Return after three attempts, lost shipment, damage – the case goes to the claims module with all documents, without your involvement.

Invoice checked

Time window breached, service not provided: the protocol is the evidence for invoice auditing.
